Story about OXO Studio

What is OXO?

For starters, Im really like to tell a bit about my company called OXO Studio. Actually, it isn’t a company because we have just try to make it like a company. OXO Studio is built with my two other friends who are experts in technical and this is a little dream of us.

Behind OXO Studio

So, before OXO Studio was born, we are going to have some competition. And the competition is game development competition with themed of education which is so interesting and difficult. Then we have to register right? So we have thought the name of the team and finally we came up with OXO. Why OXO? Do you know Tic-Tac-toe? We used letter X and O while playing it and this game has been popular over the world. So our mission is to bring this game to be much popular than ever in the world. And later im going to tell you interesting story about game startups in Indonesia.

So there it is OXO Studio like Agate Studio, Tinker Games, Touchten Games. Our mission is to be like them. And it’s gonna be difficult. You know why? Because making games is not simple as playing games. We use Adobe Flash as game engine and we have learned it about 2 months and it doesn’t enough.

Oxo Studio presents Tour Rush

Well, finally the game is yet finished and it is not a game either, it is a simple prototype. We develop it about 2-3 weeks. Do you want to know about the game? It is Tour Rush, a survival running game based on Indonesia landmarks. So the idea is simple, but our efforts aren’t simple because Indonesia needs to be branded, and one of the branding option is via game. We have dreams, but if dreams just dreams then you will never realize it. So we have realize it, and we fail. That’s normal, because we have so little time and we havent do any research yet. But we are proud to have this game, to make sure we are dream catcher.

What’s next?

It’s time to move on. And my dream is to become a biggest game developer and publisher all over the world but I’ ll save it for later. Because now i have another dream which is to create platform to help Indonesian people in their life. I’ll write it for next days, maybe.
